Bamboo quivers can rip open due to weather conditions. This is characteristic for bamboo. For protection against ripping, the quiver is covered with a special wrapping. With this wrapping the quiver sometimes gets little "rips" but this will not affect the quality. The quiver still has a long life-cicle.
